ISRAEL ATTICUS | NEWBORN, NORTH ENGLAND PHOTOGRAPHER

as you all probably know, I recently acquired a new nephew (as in, he was born. I didn't buy him off amazon gosh guys)! I cannot believe that he's nearly two months old now, like, what the even heck. how on earth does time fly that fast?? anyway! he was born in a bedroom just down the hall from where I'm sitting right now and it happened faster than you could say jimminy cricket, with the midwife (who is the most wonderful midwife on this planet) getting here just on time. my sister had four hours of contractions (compared to the thirty hours with her first baby, adelaide) and then boom! israel atticus was there! I was lucky enough to be able to film the birth for beth (wish I could show you all, but it's a personal video!), even though there is a slight gap in the video because I was helping deliver le baby, but honestly I don't even remember picking up the camera a lot of the time, but according to the footage, I guess I must've! guys. my sister is superwoman. you all know I'm not mushy or sentimental or emotional, but she was so amazing and brave and calm and the fact that me + her were chatting an hour after the birth (and also eating barbeque crackers) like normal was surreal. yeah. she's the most crazy amazing person ever.

don't forget to welcome little israel atticus (isn't his name superbly fantastic?) to the world! and also, offer him your condolences for being born into the most bonkers, crazy, outrageous family in the history of ever.

love you all!

LAWSON FAMILY | NORTH ENGLAND PHOTOGRAPHER

the lawsons are such delightful people. when they asked me to do their shoot right before they left to go back home (to murica!), I was super excited (also can we take time to appreciate how good looking they all are.). their happy cheerfulness is contagious + they have a love for coffee that makes my heart sing (the conversations we have had about coffee though. so good.). I knew them before they had their wee one (who's now nearly four months!), and I've loved seeing them grow into an adorable + fantastically tight-knit little family. their love for their daughter is so visible (lost count of how many times they said how cute she was or how many times they reminded each other that she's their daughter. can I put them all in my pocket.) and being in their home to photograph that was such a privilege! oh, and I almost forgot. I couldn't have done the shoot without lady, their adorable dog (what a perfectly beautiful little lady...c'mon tell me you've watched it) who was very willing to help me eat the chocolates that were so kindly offered to me (dogs. always thinkin about other people. so selfless.). I'm gonna miss these kids + america is luckylucky to get them back.

love you all.
