20 February 2012

we've been through that before.

hi.
my name's jess.

but I'm pretty sure we've been through that before.

my brother just turned 21. and I know we've been through that before.
but I didn't tell you how chuffed embarrassed happy he was to receive all those happy birthdays from you all. he felt vewy spwecial. yes, I'm pretty sure he blushed.

I'm not too sure how I should react when I see a raccoon in the park. with a pink collar. on a lead.
I get that strange what-are-you-doing-here-I'm-in-england-you're-an-amercian-animal-why-are-you-on-a-lead-wait,-where-am-I? feeling.

quote of the week:
some people just need a high five.
in the face.
with a chair.

amenamenamen.

it went like this -
me: yes, damien, I'm bringing my camera. what's the time? ah...the golden hour.
damien: not the golden hour jess, the happy hour! it sounds better.
me: damien. the golden hour. not the happy hour. happy hour is what we get in pubs.
damien: oh. cool.

my bro? he's sweeter than apple pie.

oh light leak. we are very good friends. you and I? wow. we're close. yay for me pulling a weird face. heaven help me. I am so strange.

today's happinesses-
eating strawberries and making pasta salad. visual journalling and new notebooks. knowing that some of the big decisions that are staring me in the face right now are up to God and not me.

ok. I'm done.

love you all.
be good, find the golden hour not the happy hour, and steal someone's pet raccoon.

  6. chuffed! ahh, I honestly just learned what that word meant. (: yes, I do look up specifically British words and try to use them here in America in actual conversation. too bad no one else knows what I mean...
