i will, i do, i shall and the like

warning: this post is filled to the brim with lotsa lotsa pictures. ok. you've been warned.

I've known JP for two years now; he was practically the first person we met when we moved to England and we adopted him as our honorary bother/son. And he adopted our family. So some way or another we were all related through false adoption-honourariness. So glad we got that straight.
Anyway. We sometimes volunteered in JP's office, doing work with him and such. Then along cam Angie. She also worked in JP's office (along with 4-5 others) and when I came back to office one day to volunteer again, I saw Angie. I saw JP. I saw the two of them. In my match-making mind, I saw them together. Yes. It could work. I saw them eating noodles together with chopsticks, laughing about disney films and playing chess at lunchtime. They didn't think of each other in that way. But, boy, did I see it coming.

Then we moved about an hour away. We didn't see them as much, just sometimes on Sunday. JP was a little interested in Angie. Angie wasn't bothered. Typical. Then a couple of weeks later we were talking to JP. He was pretty darn happy. Him and Angie were now officially a couple. My match-making mind was victorious.

Then he came round one evening. He was as excited as a little boy: he had a ring. He had a plan. We threw some ideas into his plan. One of which was tricking Angie with a plumbing-bolt-ring. Yes, we're nice like that. The next Sunday we saw Angie with a blue, shining ring on her left hand. She had said yes. Obviously. The few months went by quickly. We were told of wedding plans and we congratulated and we laughed and we waited for the wedding date.
An invite came. And so we went to the wedding yesterday. It was a beautiful wedding, sweet and simple and lovely and wonderful.

It has been said that a wedding is likened to a public hanging, and on most occasions I would be happy to agree, but in this case? I'll make an exception. These two are perfect for each other. And most of all, they love Christ so much. And that is what is going to make this marriage work.

And plus, I got to dress up. It's good for a girl to do that every once in a while.
been to a wedding lately? which is your favourite picture?

love you all.
be good, go to a public hanging and sweet-talk a cricket.

  2. They are such an adorable couple! I've only been to one wedding in my lifetime, but I guess I'll soon lose count if I become a wedding photographer (which I would love). I love your pictures!

I went to a good friends wedding in Dec. I made a nice new dress for the occasion. I Agree a girl NEEDS to dress up once in a while.
