finally got round to editing some of my california pictures. slowly but surely, we will get through all of these travelling pictures. you already know some of my cali adventures, so I won't bore you with more of them. well, maybe just a few. ten, say. ha. no, I'm kidding. I'll only do eight. well, actually, all I have to say is: it should always start and end with a coffee. amen and amen.

I think that what we really travel round for is just to try different coffee shops around the world. yup. that's it. the truth is out. and man alive, were there some good 'uns in cali. beautifully friendly people too. I tried a red velvet latte on a bubbly lady's recommendation. it was good. she had impeccable taste. but she was from minnesota. and she wanted me to know. but it already happened that I knew she wasn't from california. these accents dontcha know. also, I noticed that it was super bright there. like, brighter than most places. even than new zealand. my poor wee camera struggled along, it was like, too bright too bright I'm used to grey cloudy dark england. which is incredibly true and ridiculously sad at the same time.

ok. I'm done. but I want you all to know that I know that I'm a terrible blogger and my internet won't let me upload my videos so don't kill me and I will find a way to upload them never fear because I love you all and now I have to make salad. ok? ok.

love you all.
be good, tell me something thrilling, and have three, no, four coffees.

    I'm not kidding.
While waiting for this post to load (slow internet. #firstworldproblems :-P) I was just thinking, and I decided that your blog is my favorite.

And I love this post, and your humor, and you.

OH! And I would so love to visit you and your cloudy England any day. ;) Wisconsin is very boring and cold. And boring.

  9. Nooo you're killing me! I love Cali to the ends of the world and back, but it's been way too long since I've been. <3

Also, I'm pretty sure Cali is the brightest state in the US, and that's probably one of the reasons I love it so much. I'm such a sucker for sunshine. <3

and that last picture of coffee... THAT PICTURE. oh my goodness. when i went to austin, tx, last july to visit my bro, i had a frapp in the exact same cup. was that a coffee shop called the coffee bean & tea leaf??? anyway. what i'm trying to say is... WE DRANK THE SAME COFFEE. look here: http://dirtanddickens.wordpress.com/2012/08/03/austin-part-two/
see? SEE? we drink the same coffee. that means... something. though i'm not sure what.

    1. The question is this: did you start watching the Lizzie Bennet diaries before or after Jess?

Or maybe not at all, which would be awkward...

    2. haha, i guess it's awkward because i don't watch the Lizzie Bennet diaries. :) heard of them, though...

    3. Hahaha woops...

I've never heard anyone say adorbs except after watching the Lizzie Bennet diaries. Obviously that's just because we don't say that the land of sheep!

You should watch them though. Jess will agree that they're hilarious!

  11. Jess, Jess, Jess, Jessy. I bet you could fill up a hard drive with the number of pictures of cups of coffee you have!!! Oh wait...

Red-velvet latte sounds interesting. It seems like the flavours in the States and the UK are better than here in NZ. Cos let's face it...the options here can be pretty boring! Also, NZ Starbucks is gross. So I'm coming over with you :-D

Also, that picture of driving on the right-hand side of the road freaked me out. Just a little. The weird things these people do!
