how have these three months gone so quickly?! I don't even know like what the heck who said time was allowed to go that fast. these past three months with that weirdo payton (we call each other names because we love each other) have been so full. full of fun, adventure, learning, laughter, singing, dancing, growing, understanding, coffee drinking, travelling, exploring. we have seen so much and done so much and learnt so much and it's been wow. we've seen london, york, edinburgh, norwich, manchester, the lake district (and countless lil villages) and visited baker street, big ben, westminster, york minster, the shambles, chatsworth house, edinburgh castle, arthur's seat, haddon hall, dunham massey and so many other little places that were just as fantastic. in between and during those times, we've had so many conversations about controversial topics (although they didn't turn out to be that controversial because oh my! what like-minded angels we are!) like modesty, tattoos, piercings, church discipline, gay marriage, worship leaders, church membership, christian movies, election of the saints and loads more. we've had bunches of wonderful times of prayer, where we've been able to just sit down and pray about situations and praise God for His answers + grace. we've had countless moments where we've grabbed a guitar and belted out a dozen songs together (not to mention the times when we go all christina aguilera on a song or two heh) and the other times when we have dance parties in the kitchen while doing dishes (there was this one day when petie taught me the cupid shuffle. apparently I live in a hole. I've never looked back.). we wear each other's clothes a lot too. and steal each other's drinks. and everyone (everyone.) says we look like sisters. between us, we have taken fifteen thousand pictures (what the even heck). we sing disney like it's going out of fashion (if it ever does we're gonna bring it back). we make up dance moves. we eat a lot of food. we take the most beautiful ugly selfies ever (you ain't seen nuthin till you've seen them) known to this earth.
I can honestly say that I have learnt so so so much these past three months. I have learnt about giving Christ every. single. area. of my life. I have learnt that Jesus is the most precious thing in my life, so I better start living like it. I have learnt that prayer is powerful and desperately wonderful. I have learnt that God has absolutely everything in control and whether or not everything is right or wrong around me, I must praise Him. also. I have learnt that I am a creep who likes to weird people out and pull creepy faces and in regards to myself, I don't take anything seriously (at all). and the amazing part (God makes things work in extraordinary ways, guys) is that me and petie have learnt all these things together + discovered truths + understood things about the Lord that have brought us closer together and closer to God, which I find baffling. that God would decide to put two blogging friends in the same house for three months and bring about such a wonderful outcome (apart from the fact that she's a terrible human being + a creepy old man) is so fantastical.
these past three months have been crazy and weird and fun and adventurous and ridiculously blessed. so there's that.
p.s. if you haven't caught up with all the posts while petie has been here, have a looksie!
