sometimes, you just gotta do something different.

I know. I know. ya'll told me not to chop it off. but, seriously, it needed it and sometimes? sometimes you just gotta do something different. and it was, as my friend said to me, "approaching Tangled lengths...". it was getting that way. it's not a pixie cut though. so you can breathe.
soooo, whatcha think? in the pictures above, it had been straightened, but now it's free and wild and fresh and completely unrestrained. can't wait to see what it does when I put rags in it.
and now! the mac is back. so the q & a vlog will be coming up soon. and I will get back to more ordered and interesting and proper posts as well. wait...what? since when did I ever do those? forget what I just said.

love you all.
be good, tell me your haircut experiences and do a happy dance for me.

  4. I loved your hair, but this is still very you and BEAUTIFUL.
Once I chopped all of my "golden locks" off for someone in particular- never ever ever will I ever do that again. I'd much rather look like a hippie than have short hair. really.

  11. GAHHHH!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The layers are amazing!!! Why can't I have YOUR hair stylist, for goodness sake???? I told the hairstylist awhile back I wanted bunches of short layers all the way down, but she was like, 'no, it'll make your hair look stringy' or something. I'm like seriously?!

But anyhoo, I deffo love your hair to bits now!! Not that I didn't love it before, cuz I DID! :)

  13. Your hair looks gorgeous in both the before and after pictures. :)
My hair is always short. I think the longest I've had it since I got it cut short was about two inches past my shoulder. ;)

  16. I'm split. I loveloveloved your long hair. it was gorgeous. Buuuuut, it looks absolutely adorable now. So.
Haircut story: Every. Single. Time I cut my hair, I cried like Jo in Little Women. And then moved on. Swore I'd never cut it again. And then cut it again. I went from long to short and layered, to long, to bob, to long...yeha, you get the idea. :D I'm pretty indecisive.

  18. Oo, pretty!! I love the layers. :)
My only interesting haircut experience happened when I went to a bargain salon. I asked for a trim for my fairly long hair....and got a short bob. The worst part being that one side was two inches shorter than the other. Oh, and I neglected to mention that it was my birthday.

    Super curious about the news!!

  23. Jess... I'm heartbroken. You're still your adorable little self, but I kid you not, a lump rose in my throat when I saw you cut your hair. Grow it out again, please? *hopeful puppy dog face*

I might forgive you someday. ;) And I would like to hear your news....

  24. Yes, Sometimes you just gotta do something new!

I like your new hairdo! Does it feel good to have something new or do you miss you long hair?

  26. you dear are utterly gorgeous. yeah sometimes you just gotta get out of your comfort zone and do something drastically different. my hair was about as long as yours in that first photo and i had the stylist cut it to just under my jawline. yeah i know, crazy right? but i loved it...for a little while. after a few months, i started growing it out again. :) anyway, your hair is beautiful either way.
