THE MATERNITY PROJECT | A PHOTOGRAPHIC JOURNEY


so, if you haven't seen, I've been doing a maternity project over on my facebook! then I thought (sometimes I have thoughts. weird.), why don't I share it on here? I know, I know, I'm a genius. so, I've been taking pictures at every milestone, and also some other more...storytelling images. I wanted to capture a simple truth: women are incredibly gorgeous when they're pregnant (not saying women who aren't pregnant aren't gorgeous as well, but pregnant women so often say they feel yuck + not pretty and it's SO not true!) and I want them to see that. and so that's what I'm doing. my sister is expecting a baby (as opposed to a velociraptor) in july (yay!) and so I'm taking the opportunity to take pictures all throughout her pregnancy. I want her to have something to remember these nine months by. something that makes her remember every step of the way, something that shows her how radiant she was (even though sometimes she didn't feel it). so, we're up to twenty weeks and it's honestly been so much fun stringing these pictures together + seeing the progress! if you want to follow along, I update the project on my facebook, and sometimes instagram!

    love love love this! such a great idea. haha beth is such a cute pregnant person. :D i think my favourite is the set three pictures from the bottom. the lighting is just perfect and I love the contrast between her dark shirt and the white wall. lovely lovely!
    oh, and since new little worm is supposed to be born in july, i think we can all agree that it should be arranged for it to arrive on my birthday, yes? yes? good. i'm glad we're all agreed here.
